Manuel Magalhães e Silva, RBMS Partner, received the Medal of Honour of the Portuguese Bar Association yesterday at the Solemn Celebration of Lawyers’ Day, which took place in Viana do Castelo.
The medal was presented by the President of the Portuguese Bar Association, Fernanda de Almeida Pinheiro.
The Medal of Honour of the Portuguese Bar Association is an award conferred to distinguish lawyers who, through their merit, honour and way of exercising their profession, have made a significant contribution to the dignity and prestige of the legal profession, or who, through the committed exercise of their functions in the service of the Portuguese Bar Association, namely within the scope of its corporate bodies, have made a relevant contribution to the strengthening and prestige of the Bar, as well as to distinguish national and foreign citizens who have rendered relevant services in defence of the Rule of Law or to the legal profession.
The Medal of Honour of the Portuguese Bar Association was created by decision of the General Council on 16 April 2004.
